It's all the rage these days, but here at Smidgens we've always considered our impact on the environment. After all, it's the only planet we've got! When you order something, you can have faith that the scraps from your project will be recycled. Whether it's acrylic that gets melted down and reformed or wood that gets ground up for garden mulch or made into pellets for wood stoves. Metal scraps don't get wasted either. They are sent all over the world for melting and reusing. In fact, they could be part of the car you're driving or that new stainless steel refrigerator you're looking to buy. Our most interesting use of scraps comes from our donations to local schools, art therapists, and senior centers, where bits and pieces, normally considered trash, are turned into one of a kind works of art!
